Cosmo Vitelli. Wow. Great name*. This french go-getter has been grinding out productions, remixes and edits for the past 12 years. He is constantly teaming up with equally amazing artists and labels to bring the hits year after year. And dude even finds time to run his own label I'm a Cliche. His latest effort is Cliche Breaks - a 3 track ep of some seriously amazing edits. The original tracks were released in the late70's/early80's, and to be honest with you, I haven't heard a single uno. But that's probably what makes these signature Cosmo Vitelli edits soo damn good.
My Time, Your Time (Cosmo Vitelli edit) / Straight Shooter - EXPIRED
Groove Me (Cosmo Vitelli edit) / Fern Kinney - EXPIRED
That Thing (Cosmo Vitelli edit) / That Thing - EXPIRED
*The mighty Discogs tells me that Cosmo Vitelli is the name of the character played by Ben Gazzara in John Cassavetes' Killing of a Chinese Bookie.

The Jaz Disco Rock Mix
Awesome mix, great site full of mixes =D
His recent remix of Simian Mobile Disco has been a mainstay of my sets recently. He reworked "Hot Dog" into a swirly disco mess. Good stuff.
You don't know Killing of a Chinese Bookie? Holy shit, one of my Top 3 movies of all time. It is extremely hard to find on DVD by itself, as it was only released as part of the Cassavettes box set by Criterion. However, some poor sap in LA must've been hard up for dough, 'cause I scored my copy at Amoeba years ago. A must see!
Please help me find a copy of Groove Me (Cosmo Vitelli edit) / Fern Kinney. Name your price. :)
Sorry Robster - I don't own that edit. The track is too perfect for me! ! ! I love the original.
