I want to share a track from the Tirk02 Sampler that I bought yesterday. All four tunes are amazing, and can be found digitally here or on good ol' fashioned vinyl here. I can't wait to hear the CD album that comes out next week. It's Tirk's second compilation effort and features the likes of Hercules & Love Affair, Richard Sen, Todd Terje and Chaz Jankel.

I was super excited when my dude at the record shop pulled this one for me – the best two dollars I've spent in a long time. Over ten minutes of spacey synths and deep bass arranged by the legendary Celso Valli.

This is such a huge tune. Some may recognize it from one of last year's best mixed compilations Cosmic Disco?! Cosmic Rock!!! ... While others may recognize it as the best Thompson Twins' track ever. Enjoy the track unmixed in hi-quality. Cowabunga dude!

What to do when the economy's in the gutter? Spend money! I went record shopping today and found some gems – including Umberto Tozzi's** Gloria. Enjoy both the longer English version and the hot little Italian number. My money's on the Italian.

The LP pictured above is the first memory I have of holding vinyl. Crazy right?!? And for that reason alone, Blood Sweat & Tears have always had a special place in my heart. awww. So when I heard this edit, I knew I had to post it.

The wonderful plaidmusic introduced me to Kommand Tropical Disco a while back, and when I recently asked him for some material to post – he obliged. Grazie molto il mio amico! Listen to a couple more left field edits over at his myspzz. Damn solid stuff.
