Summer's Here

So it's official boys and girls. 

This past Friday at 7:59pm EST summer arrived. 

I rode my bike. I drank some beers. I grilled some hot dogs. It was awesome. 

It goes without saying that I had some serious summer jams playing that day 

at the cabin. I live in a log cabin in the suburbs. 

No really, I do. I love how certain songs recall certain summers.

I started DJing in 2003. And one of my first regular gigs was playing 

poolside at the Standard Hotel. I'm pretty sure I opened with this 

track like 73 times that summer.

Such a mellow and funky tune. Great warm up stuff. Especially around

this time of year. I couldn't tell you how I came across this record. 

Maybe the HeadMan remix on the flip drew me in? Doesn't matter, 

cause the Buscemi remix is where its at.

Fast forward to 2008. If you see me play this summer, you will 

no doubt hear me open up with this track. I cannot get enough 

of Todd Terje. Its teetering on creepy. 12"s, CD's, MP3's. Anything I can 

get my hands on right now. Mr Terje, will you please come to Cleveland? 

Told you its creepy.
